TOP BUSINESS FOR WOMEN AWARD
Each year Women Leading Kentucky, in conjunction with The Lane
Report, recognizes a Kentucky company – profit or non-profit –
that employs policies and practices that help them recruit,
retain and advance qualified women. In this way, we provide
other Kentucky businesses and non-profit organizations a role
model for instituting women-friendly policies and practices in
their operations.
Applications for this award are accepted
at any time until February 29, 2008. The organizational
representative must submit an application, of no more than 5
pages, that addresses the following criteria by February 29:

Strategic Approach or Initiative:
specific programs and/or policies that show how the
organization/company meets the criteria of “supporting the
recruitment, retention and advancement of women.”

Target
Population:
How are women in the organization benefiting?

Leadership:
Who are the key leaders of this initiative and what are
their roles? (Any women?)

Measurable Results:
demographic information on the management team and
employees, e.g. number of women in management, R&D,
supervisory positions, etc.
